Thousands of years ago, the Buddha said, “What we think, we become” and Proverbs in the Bible says, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is;” Prov. 23:7.
The idea that we determine our own lives based on where our thoughts and heart are, is easy to believe in theory, but often difficult to use in our own lives.
If we truly knew and believed this, we would not blame others for any adversity in our lives; we would not wallow in self pity or remorse, we would understand that any challenge in our lives was an opportunity to grow, to change, and to become the person we want to be. We would find ways to use negativity as a gateway to something positive and life enriching.
Remember, life is what we make of it, or, how we see it. As Wayne Dyer wrote, “change your thoughts, change your life.” Years before that book, James Allen wrote the book, “As a man Thinketh” in which he also talks about how our thoughts determine our lives.
So, if your life is not how you would like it, try changing your thinking, then take some right action and see if things don’t make a turn for the better.
