Sometimes the greatest challenge to our emotional and spiritual growth is what seems the best for us – being in our comfort zone. The comfort zone is that place where everything we do, where we live, our relationships, etc. are what we are familiar with and, therefore, feel comfortable with.
This comfort zone can be our best friend or our worse enemy. Stepping out of that zone can fill us with fear and anxiety, but it often results in a life that is far better than what we currently know.
It helps to have faith that we never have to make the leap alone, that we are loved, protected, guided, and surrounded by a Force that will give us the strength to go on when fear tells us not to.
Many gifts of my life were received as a result of me stepping out of my comfort zone, of making a change that was uncomfortable, but necessary for me to grow and evolve, not just physically and mentally, but emotionally and spiritually as well.
Whenever you are called to do something, to stretch, to reach beyond your comfort zone – to take the leap – you might find that where you end up is in a place far beyond anything you can currently imagine.
It is called a leap of faith, because to take that leap, we have to depend upon something we cannot see, feel, or touch – but is always there to support us.
