Labor Day marks the end of summer and for many this is the end of longer days, warmer nights, trips to the beach or pool, and a lazier hazy life. However, for every ending, there is a new beginning, and so, with the seasons.
Autumn brings cooler weather, a change of clothes, Halloween, trees that can take the breath away as they are bathed in bright yellows, oranges and reds.
In life we go through seasons as well. With each season – childhood, teens, young adulthood, middle age, mature – there are different challenges and different gifts.
We can look back on our lives and see how each change brought about growth, and yet it seems the older we get, the more fearful we are of change. I believe however, that the more we resist the change, the older we become.
No matter how young or old you are, try something new. Expand your horizons and see how much fun all the seasons of our lives can be.
