Perfectly Imperfect

I recently got a water bottle that says “Perfectly Imperfect”.  I bought it because I thought it was a great description of how I feel most of the time.  In fact, the one thing I am sure of is that I am not perfect, however, I do have a Higher Power that is Perfect, and I know that this Power can do through me what I cannot do for myself.

Being imperfect is actually a good thing, because it means I can still learn, still grow, still experience new things.  It means that even when life is messy, it’s ok because it’s an opportunity to not only see things as they are, but to see things as they can be.

Being imperfect means I don’t have to add the extra stress in my life of having to have everything perfect – when I goof up, I can laugh and try again.  Accepting this imperfection is definitely a necessity especially as we age – because we soon learn we are far from perfect and, with wisdom, we know it is ok, and therefore, so are we.

Quote of the Week
