Namaste

We hear a lot of people use the word Namaste – which literally means I bow to you. Or another way of defining it, and one often used, is the Soul (my higher Self) greets the Soul in you.

In other words, the part of me that is Divine, or my higher Self acknowledges the Divine in you. Sometimes we really feel that there is a part of us that is Divine and is connected to God and to everything. Other times we may feel disconnected from a Higher Power and may forget that part of us is Divine.

So how do we allow more of that part of us that is love, peace, wisdom, compassion, empathy, and kindness to come forth in our lives and in the world? One way is through prayer and meditation. However, I believe even if we are not praying and meditating all the time, we can still be the Christ in this world.

We do this by showing more love, kindness, compassion, consideration, forgiveness, etc. to those we meet – not just our loved ones, but even the strangers that we meet every day in our lives. When we brighten another person’s life, we are allowing our light to help someone else feel that love, light, joy, and Spirit.

By doing so we not only make someone’s life a little better, but we begin to change the world as well as ourselves.
