Making Choices

Yesterday was Election Day and I hope everyone voted. Whatever you believe, it is important to stand up for those beliefs.

Our ability to make choices is one of the greatest gifts we have been given by Spirit. Everyday we make decisions – some are big ones, some small – but however important or unimportant they are, choices give us a say in our life.

Although no matter how we may vote, the choice we make on election day may not bring about the result that we seek, it is still a choice we make and we should be grateful we have that opportunity.

In my life I have made many choices – some gave me good results, some not such great ones. However, I have found that it is not the results that matter but the fact that I get to make a choice.

That certainly can be true during an election. When our choices do not result in the way we had hoped for, it I important to remember that acceptance is a powerful key to bring us peace and happiness. Also to know that we have done all that we could do and we have spoken up for what we believe.

I am grateful for my ability to choose not just during an election but in life in general.

Quote of the Week
