Humble and Kind

In the hectic world we live in, sometimes we forget some basics, such as being humble and kind.

We read articles about the importance of confidence but we confuse confidence with inflated ego. Humble people do not need to boast or show up others – by their very nature, their words, and actions, they become a positive influence in the lives of all who know them.

Kindness is as simple as treating others the way you would like to be treated. Quite often we feel too rushed to take the time for simple acts of kindness. We forget how such acts have been important to ourselves in the past. I know, for me, I can easily remember such kindness and it warms my heart years after the deed.

What can you do today to be kinder to others? Try treating others today as you would want to be treated tomorrow. Remember that we all can make a difference – maybe we can’t change everything but we can make a difference in one person’s life. If we have done this, we have helped to make our world a better place for everyone.
