Hope of the Season

The holidays are here and people tend to fall into two categories regarding the holidays – either they love them or they dread them. I am in the former category – I love the holidays – the lights, the decorations, the hustle and bustle of shoppers, the food – the whole shebang!

For me, Christmas is all about hope. Hope is God’s gift to us to insure our happiness in the face of challenges that often come in life. This gift is unique for each of us because it is designed to meet our individual needs. It is what keeps us keeping on when we want to give up.

At this time of year things just seem a little more hopeful – not just for us as individuals but for the world as a whole. I think that is one of the main reasons I love this season so much.

So this holiday, take some time to focus on hope and know that hope is the seed from which faith blossoms.

Quote of the Week
“There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope.”
Bernard Williams
