Getting the Strength We Need

It’s a busy world out there…

sometimes it’s because of things beyond our control, by others, or by our own schedule we are left with no time for rest and renewal.  During those times it is easy to become weary, exhausted, depleted, tired, and overwhelmed – in other words just done in!

We are three-fold humans – Body, Mind, and Spirit, therefore, we must care for all parts of ourselves. 

Body, by eating well, exercising, and getting rest when we need to take care of our physical needs.  

Mind, by having a support group, friends that are there for us, and looking at what ways we may be sabotaging ourselves which gives us the ability to be more emotionally and mentally mature and balanced.

Spiritually, by connecting with our Spirit, Higher Power, God, which we believe in, and feeds our souls.  When we take time to do this, we realize that, in Truth, the strength we get to do what is ours to do, comes not from ourselves, but from our Higher Source which dwells within.  

When the Scottish missionary, runner and Olympic champion, Eric Liddell, was asked where he gets the power to run as fast as he does, he said, “Where does the power come from, it comes from within.” 

Take care of yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually, and remember that true power and strength comes from within our Higher Selves.
