From Rev. Arlene

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter/Passover holiday.  I love these holidays because they are, also, a celebration of Spring and a time of new life filling all the trees, flowers and plants.  It is as if, the entire planet wakes up from a long winter’s sleep, and its true nature revealed.

Spring reminds us that even though we cannot see green leaves, colorful flowers, and the magic of life during the winter – it is there.  So, too, with us humans.  Sometimes we cannot see the grace of Spirit in someone (or at times within ourselves) but it is always there; lying dormant until we decide to connect with our Higher Self within, resulting in our true nature bursting forth or becoming aware of the light in others.

If you are not feeling alive with The Spirit at this point in your life, it may be time to take the action necessary to bring it out.  Nature needs warmth of the sun, the moisture from the rain, and the longer days to bring forth the wonder of spring.

So, too, we need to awaken our Self by nurturing it with prayer and meditation (connecting with the sunlight of Spirit); spending time outside appreciating the beauty around us; letting go of the negativity we might be holding onto; doing service for God and others; and practicing forgiveness, gratitude, and loving-kindness.

Happy Blooming!
