Tis the Season – Faith is the Reason

Here we are in that wonderful time between Thanksgiving and Christmas – ‘tis the Season of Love, Joy, Peace, and Faith. I LOVE this time of year!

One of the reasons is, that it seems, for the most part, to be a magical time. People are nicer, children are filled with hope and anticipation, everything shines when dressed in lights and bright colors, and of course there is wonderful food all around.

And it is also a time of Faith. Whether you believe, or don’t believe, in the religious meaning of Christmas, it is an occasion when unusual things can happen…a time, when even people who do not believe in Jesus, celebrate this season of family, friends, and fun.

If you are a “Bah Humbug” kind of person, I suggest you spend some time looking at the wonder of the season. Rather than seeing crowds of shoppers as a drag, see it as people looking to give something to someone other than themselves. Instead of complaining about the music, try to find the joy that is in so much of it.

Lastly, and most importantly, don’t get trapped into feeling stressed out this time of year. Try having a little faith – faith that you will have all the time and energy you need to do the things you need to do.

With that attitude, you might surprise yourself and find that you are actually getting into the Holiday Spirit!

Quote of the Week
