Jesus tells us that we must become like little children to enter the Kingdom of Heaven (which I believe is, a state of mind right here and now).
Why do we have to be like little children? Because little children have a faith which few adults can emulate. We get so busy with our lives, our responsibilities, and answering to others, that we fail to notice the small miracles all around us that children can see so easily.
When was the last time you took a look at a blue sky, stop and smell a rose, try to chase a rainbow, or just laugh at some silly thing? When was the last time you stood in the rain with your tongue out, trying to taste a raindrop? Or skipped down a street?
Everyone needs to take time to find joy in the little things, laugh, play and dance. It might surprise you how it, can not only uplift your mood, but also take years off your life.
