Au revoir

Au revoir!

We are leaving for Paris in less than a week!  I have been there once before – 29 years ago!  When I left I knew that one day I would return.

As the years went by it seemed like a distant dream – there was either not enough money, not enough time, inability to take the time off, or just a matter of priority – to see my grandkids or go on a different trip.

However, when we set our mind on something, the Universe will come through – although, it may take longer than we would like!  But when it happens – it happens in a big way!  A friend offered to pay for Christopher and my plane tickets to meet him in Paris.   Then another friend who has an apartment in Paris offered us the use of his apartment and it was available the week we were going to be in Paris.

So for the next two weeks I will be in Paris.  I still can’t believe it is happening.  Not only was a dream of mine fulfilled but it was done at minimal cost. It also has made me exceedingly grateful – grateful to God, grateful to have such wonderful and generous friends, and grateful that this time I get to experience it with Christopher, my husband of 27 years and a really good friend, John.

Life is good, God is amazing, and I am truly blessed!

Quote of the Week

“Each day I am thankful for nights that turned into mornings, friends that turned into family, dreams that turned into reality and likes that turned into love.”
