Most of us have heard the expression, “We are spiritual beings having a human experience”, and we say we agree. However, we rarely look at what this means, and how it affects our daily lives.
Being a spiritual being having a human experience is very different from being a human being having a spiritual experience. The difference is whether we live our lives from the inside out or the outside in.
People who live their lives from the outside in, believe that their life, and what they do or do not do, is determined by what happens to them! They look at themselves as victims. People like this can, and often do, have spiritual experiences through surrender, prayer and meditation.
People who live their lives from the inside out do not see themselves as victims but co-creators with their Creator. They take responsibility for their lives and know that everything is a result of their consciousness. If something is lacking in their lives they either adapt or open themselves up to the Divine Wisdom, Guidance, and Order that is always available to them.
If you are a human having a spiritual experience, know this – at any time you can begin to change this thought by replacing it with a New Thought – we are spiritual beings and as such have access to everything we need to be all we can be. This is the essence of being re-born or being born again…living life from the inside out rather than from the outside in.
